Sun 17th Sep - Day 18 – Tour Day 2 - Madrid of the Bourbons

I didn't make any notes at all today, so this will probably be short and sweet.  I was doing the optional to Segovia, which was departing at 8am and I had set my alarm for 6am.  That gave me an hour to get my act together before going down to breakfast at 7am. Note to self. Take photos of the breakfast area tomorrow morning.

It was overcast all the way to Segovia and even raining in some places. A small video while  departing Madrid.

Video not working or taking to long to load.

We arrived in Segovia about an hour and half after leaving Madrid

Some pics of the Viaduct.

Alcázar de Segovia

After departing Segovia at 1:15pm, it was back to the hotel in Madrid and then a visit to the Prado Museum.  After that visit it was back to the hotel again and another option walk through the old town, which I had originally signed up for but told Rory, that I was pulling out.  It didn't involve any meals or tickets, so I should not get charged anything.  I just need an earlyish night, especially as we are departing Madrid tomorrow morning.

MONDAY 18 SEPTEMBER

7.00am: Breakfast opens
7.00am: Bags outside your door
8.15am: Depart for Rueda wine tasting and Santiago de Compostela.

*Please leave only your suitcase (with luggage label attached) outside your door - any hand luggage that you would like stored under the coach should be presented to our driver on departure.

*The wine cellar in Rueda can be cool - bring a sweater.

That's it from me for tonight.  Almost 9pm, so goodnight all, where-ever you are.
