Weather forecast for todays journey is a low of 18 and a high of 29 with humidity at 78%.
I went to bed around 10pm last night, hoping for a good nights sleep. Woke at 2am, rolled over and went back to sleep. Woke again at 4am and after not being able to get back to sleep, got up around 5ish. showered, dressed, checked emails. Blocked all the junk emails that Telstra seem unable to block since they updated the webmail site. I weighed the main luggage. 12.8kg and the carry-on weighs 6.6kg. Will be interesting to see what they weight at the end of the tour.
After breakfast, we departed at 8:30 and arrived at Rouen around 10ish. Elisabeth walked us to a number of historic places and then left us to our own devices, to meet again at midday and continue on our way.
The ruin of the Temple Saint-Eloi in Rouen.
Once we all met up again it was on to Hornfleur, a port city.
Elisabeth had bought sone macaroons, so they were handed out on our way to Hornfleur, where we arrive around 1pm.
Another walk to the place that we were to meet later
and a walk to St Catherines church and the weekend markets.
I was not overly hungry and most of the restaurants were packed with people, so I found a bar overlooking the carousel and the inner small harbour and people watched.
After meeting up with the group it was onto our hotel at Deauville.
I opted to do the optional dinner, so before we departed the hotel, out local guide came onboard the bus and spoke to us about the town, its racetracks and film festivals.
Once in the town proper, we walked and she pointed out a number of old houses and what they were now being used for, etc.

Now a hotel
The glorious sunset from Deuville Beach.
I'm running late keeping this blog up to date. Will try and get todays (4 Sept) activities updated when I get up tomorrow but can't promise anything.
